Logos ScienceLab kits & devotionals

Frequently asked

Questions teachers ask before ordering.

Can I see a lab before I buy?

Yes. Each kit has two sample labs on its page. If you have additional questions you can contact Logos Science, Inc. at (719) 302-5875 or info@logosscience.com

Does the kit match the textbook I already use?

Every kit ships with a coordination that lists the chapter and page for BJU Press®, Apologia® and Abeka® of when to do each lab. Other textbooks are easy to align by just synchronizing the topics.

What do I have to supply?

A clean table, a few common household items, and enthusiasm to dive in. The manual lists the household items for each experiment at the front, so you can gather them before you start.

Is the chemistry safe at home?

The chemistry and physical science kits use the micro-scale method — premixed reagents in quantities about one hundredth of a standard laboratory. No fume hood is required and no concentrated acids or bases are used.

I am not a science teacher. Can I still run these labs?

That is who the manuals are written for. Each procedure is written step by step and the teacher’s answer guide gives the expected results and the reasoning, so you can check a student’s work with confidence.

Can I use one kit for a second student?

Yes. Because of lab dynamics, the best learning happens with one student or when two students work together. With proper supervision, up to four students can work together at one lab station. If you want to use the kits for subsequent students, most of the equipment is reusable and there are refill kits available for Biology and Life Science. The other kits generally have enough equipment and supplies for up to three uses.

How do kits ship, and what about returns?

Kits ship from Lake George, Colorado; shipping is calculated at checkout. Contact us within thirty days if a kit arrives incomplete or damaged and we will make it right.

Can I order through BJU Press?

BJU Press sells custom Logos Science kits designed just for their textbook. Please see their website.

One more thing

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works.
Psalm 139:14

Every experiment in this kit ends with a short devotional on the subject the student has just measured, written from a Creation viewpoint in the same plain voice as the lab itself. The devotionals are bound into the manual; they are not an appendix and not optional reading.
